Ingredients

2 tbsp neutral oil, for frying

250g shiitake mushrooms, cut unto thick slices (smaller ones halved or kept whole)*
- 2 spring onions, cut into 5cm pieces

1 jar of Queen Black Beans - with their bean stock
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 ½ tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp Chinese 5- piece
- 2 tsp sesame oil, preferably toasted
- 3 cloves of garlic, crushed

1 tsp honey, or maple syrup
- 1 tsp dried red chili flakes (optional)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- *Chesnut Mushrooms
- Spring onion, finely sliced
- Rice

Directions
Heat the oil in a large pan over a medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and fry for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the mushrooms have taken on some colour, stir in the beans with their bean stock.
For the sauce, mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined. Stir the sauce into the mushrooms and beans, making sure everything is well coated, and simmer for 3-4 minutes until you reach a glossy consistency. Remove from the heat and serve immediately, with a sprinkle of sesame seeds, spring onions and rice.
