FAQs

How long do beans last in the fridge?

Once opened, the beans in our jars will last for 3-5 days in the fridge (make sure not to double dip if you're eating straight from the jar!). And make sure the lid is tightly sealed after opening.

Similarly with recipes, they will last around 3-5 days in the fridge in sealed an airtight container.

Can you freeze beans?

Yes! Beans freeze very well - butter beans, black beans, chickpeas - the lot! Freezing helps you cut down on waste, saves time when cooking + means you’ll always have beans ready to go when you need them.

You can freeze our beans as they are - either drained or in their bean stock - in an airtight container. They'll then be ready to add straight into whatever recipe you’re making. OR you can freeze them as part of a dish – like soups, stews, or curries – so you’ve got a complete meal ready to go.

They will last up to 3 months in the freezer.

Can you reheat the beans?

Absolutely. We recommend defrosting your beans in the fridge first. Heating them directly from frozen can cause the beans to go mushy! Which is why frozen beans will work well in recipes where you want added creaminess, and don't mind the mush! Such as blended soups or a chunky ribollita where the beans act as a thickener. Our beans are already soft and silky, so a gentle warming is all they need!
