Location: Hybrid flexible working / with access to London

Role Summary:

Joining us at an incredibly exciting time, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to achieve ambitious growth plans in the Out of Home (OOH) channel (essentially any non-Grocery sales!) This is perfect for an existing account manager who is passionate about the wonderful world of out of home, and who wants to take on more responsibility and ownership at a smaller business where they can have a monumental impact.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial OOH Manager to help us on our mission to make the world OBSESSED with beans by growing our sales in the wonderful and varied world of ‘out of home’. We need someone who loves hunting down new business opportunities whilst also being skilled at nurturing our existing partners to ensure we win across the channel, from the smallest farm shops and delis to the largest food service providers. We would love to bring on someone who understands how to win in this channel, guiding our strategy in this channel from pricing to pack size to promotions. 

If you’ve been working as an account manager in OOH for a few years and want more responsibility, ownership and control over strategy then this role is perfect for you. 


Your role:

  • Helping to build and deliver the OOH channel strategy including indies, beacons, foodservice and wholesale, with P&L accountability and budget management 
  • Developing strong relationships with distributors, store managers and buyers (you will be the lead contact, bringing in others where needed for story-telling) 
  • Building killer commercial plans and JBPs with customers, including pricing, investment and in store activity, to drive profitable growth plans and achieve business objectives 
  • Creating new business opportunities – this role is as much about winning new business as it is nurturing existing accounts 
  • Own, manage (and LOVE) our CRM system to keep on top of potential leads
  • Owning your own demand forecast, working with operations and finance 
  • Sharing insights to the wider team pitching for what you need to win in the world of OOH
  • Spreading BEAN LOVE across OOH - arranging and executing sampling across our top stores, at distributor head offices and at events
  • Optimising our routes to market, ensuring we are working with the best distributors and have great availability and great prices for our customers.

  • Go-getter: You’re hungry for the next opportunity and not afraid to trust the taste to make it happen! You have a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving results 
  • Agile: You enjoy being challenged and would be energised by working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. 
  • Data and feedback driven: You are comfortable with analysing data and using customer feedback to optimise our commercial plans.


Additional skills:

2+ years of sales experience, a bonus if this includes managing OOH customers

Passion for retail and food

Strong work ethic and commitment to achieving results in a fast-paced environment

An excellent communicator
