The Mean Green Protein Machine
BEANS. You may have noticed, we're a bit obsessed. One of the reasons why we decided to make a company dedicated to spreading the bean gospel was due to the very fact that is: BEANS ARE A P̶O̶O̶R̶ ̶M̶A̶N̶S̶ FLEXITARIAN'S MEAT.
As you guys know, we all need to cut down the amount of bacon we're having to help save our planet from a Britney 2008 breakdown. But while everyone's getting buzzed up about fake meat + beetroot-blood burgers, we're here like "WHAT ABOUT THE BEANS?". We're here to show you that you don't need highly processed whats-inside-that burger patties to have a delicious time eating less meat. If you have good beans, every mouthful of that dish can be exciting; all the while packed with all the protein you need to have a balanced diet.
For those that don't want highly processed meat alternatives, but want to reduce the amount of meat that they're eating, they often find themselves in a carbohydrate-coma. WHY? Because it's damn hard cooking veg-focused food, pasta + risotto seem to be the only easy ways to make veg dishes worth getting excited about: and THEN, you're lacking big time on the protein front. Well, we think this is a bit of a no-brainer, but for some reason, none of you have thought of it, sub your white-carbs for beans.
We're talking Springtime Risotto ft. White Beans, Butter Bean Mushroom 'Gnocchi' Bake, and Cauliflower Steaks with Salsa Verde & White Bean Mash.
What's even more of a no-brainer is: if you buy pre-cooked beans, the recipes become two times quicker to make. Double the protein, half the time.
